Interested in learning more about growing magnificent, colorful dahlias?
The Washington State Dahlia Society offers a variety of activities designed to help even the novice gardener achieve success.
2012 begins our second 100 years of dahlia shows. Stick around...see what we are planning.
Meetings are usually held the third Monday of each month at 7:00 at the
Fircrest Community Center.
Visitors are always welcome - so drop by and get acquainted! It's a great way to meet other dahlia enthusiasts and learn more about growing dahlias, storing tubers, where to get the really good varieties, show competition, and more!
Our members are a knowledgeable, enthusiastic group and are always happy to answer questions ranging from simple to advanced cultivation techniques.
Our monthly meetings feature informative presentations by experienced growers covering all aspects of growing exhibition quality dahlias.

April 2012 Newsletter
Monday, April 16th, 7:00 pm Regular Meeting
Fircrest Community Center
PLEASE NOTE THE MEETING TIME! During this meeting, we will have a discussion of different methods of supporting your dahlia plants during the growing season, from planting to staking to tying, all those things. You may discover something different. The second part of the evening will be our highly exciting tuber auction. The tubers will primarily be “new” or “hard to find” varieties. This may be your last opportunity to secure one of those new varieties for the upcoming season as websites are already “sold out” on many of them.
Some future dates you may wish to mark on your calendar:
The spring fair at the fairgrounds in Puyallup, April 19-22, 2012. The Washington State Dahlia Society will have large booth at the fair for our tuber sales.
Washington State Dahlia Society annual show will be held the weekend of August 18-19, 2012. The change is because of the ADS National show being held during our customary dates.
Upcoming Tuber Sales
April 19 - 22: Puyallup Spring Fair
April 28 & 29: Master Gardner's and UP Homesteader's Park
New Members are always welcome.
